In my opinion, we really are at the breaking point of society and the general understanding of how economy works at this moment. The biggest contributor to this change being the freedom of speech and opinion that internet allows.
For many many years, the public had no clue how money for example came into existence. The main understanding was, that there was this institution called "The federal reserve", what was runned by the state and it had reserves so it could actually back up the idea of money. But when you usually tell that theory to most of us today you either get laughed at or you really ran into some of us, who still lives in ignorance. The thing is, that "The federal reserve" isn´t federal nor does it have any reserves.
This information would be very well kept as a secret even today if it wouldn´t be for the internet. Usually the case is that: if you dont want the information to be public, you either have something to hide or you just dont want to share it with others. It is perfectly normal when private information is kept unpublic, but that isnt the case at the moment. When you live in a democratic state, where people should actually be the ones who run the country through the politicians they have elected in a good will and trust, people have the right to know whats REALLY going on.
It is pretty easy to realize that something must obset the ones who really run this world.
The main agenda has always been the same. In the minds of our leaders, people are like a cattle of sheeps. They MUST be controlled in a certain framework. First it was the religion that had power (ofcourse this is the case nowadays aswell, but it isnt that radical that you can actually get hanged or sentenced to death by any other way if you go against the understandings taught in bible, koran or in any other holy book.). The world was very static and people were easily controllable. People had their jobs and went to the church to hear how the world is this and that, and how it should be. With the coming of print media things started to really evolve. You could know what happened all over the world by reading the newspaper. The coming of radio and television expanded it further. As theres a saying in estonian what through translation would look something like this: " My own eye is the king". If i havent seen it myself, i wont believe it.
The thing is, that traditional media can be controlled if necessary. Do you really believe you will see some clip or article on the news if the owners of this particular newspaper, or tv-channel doesnt want you to see? I dont think so.
The case with the internet is that...it cant be really controlled. It has been said that China has a group of people (estimated to be around 50 000) who act as an internet police. But even then, they cant control everything. Theres just too much information coming in. In the first place- its against the laws and China denies that such kind of organization coworking with Chinese government even exists.
The current plutocratic world, where the ones with money have the power is in a real crisis at the moment. All that is mainly because of internet. People have the free will to post their opinion about ANYTHING on the internet. And when people actually start to realize...wait a minute...that actually sounds like a whole lot of crap coming from the mouths of our leaders we have elected. It can snowball so fast that governments dont know what they are going to do about it.
perfect example would be the case of WTC for example. I don´t think that there are many people today who believe the story as it was presented by the government of Unites States of America. Do some research on internet and ....facts just doesnt match up. The fact that interrogation of the president of the USA and minister of defence regarding the WTC case even PUBLIC, is really really really not a sign of democratic state. What do they have to hide?
Internet is like a showdown in theathre. The final act where the curtain falls. People start to realize that the real world is radically different from the one our leaders are trying to show us. And the ones in power are doing ANYTHING to keep it going the way it has been so far. And they actually might even succeed at it.
Theres an interesting phenomena...how can Ponzi schemes work for example when everyone with a normal mind can understand that its a fraud? Think of a lottery for example: millions and millions of people buy tickets and only 1 wins the prize. People watch their show where the winner is made clear and they realize...oh well, i didnt won today, better luck some other day. They usually dont care who the winner is. But what if actually there is no winner, and there wasnt even suppose to be? People realize that i didnt won today, but someone else HAD to win. what a pity it wasnt me. This may sound like a nonsense and conspiracy theory, but there are actually evidence, that there has been violation of rules on many referendums and presidential elections.
